All our cakes are made with pure butter & good quality ingredients. We do not use preservatives or cake gels in our cakes & bakes.  

What is American Buttercream?
American Buttercream is a type of icing used to fill, cover & decorate a cake. This is made by whipping butter & icing sugar to the desired consistency. Food colours, fruit purees or flavoured extracts are used to colour & flavour the icing. 

What is Swiss Meringue Buttercream?
Swiss Meringue Buttercream is made by cooking egg whites & sugar until dissolved & whipped until stiff peaks are formed. Later butter & flavours are added to make a smooth buttercream that can be used to fill, cover & decorate a cake.

What is Chocolate Ganache?
Chocolate Ganache is a mixture of cream, chocolate & butter. Dark chocolate, Milk chocolate or white chocolate is used for making ganache. 

What is the shelf life of American/Ganache?
Cakes covered,filled or decorated with the above frostings can be kept at room temperature for 2days.  

What is the shelf life of Swiss Meringue Buttercream/Cream Cheese/Fresh Cream?
Cakes covered,filled or decorated with the above frostings have to be refrigerated.

What is Fondant?
Fondant is a soft dough made by mixing icing sugar, corn syrup, glycerin & veg shortening, often flavoured or coloured, often used in decorating cakes & making candy.

What is the flavour of the fondant?
Basic fondant flavour is vanilla, unless it is chocolate flavoured fondant.

Is fondant edible?
Yes it is edible & the colours used are edible food grade colours. All the colours used are Wilton or Ameri colour brand edible colours.

What is the shelf life of fondant covered cakes?
Fondant covered cakes stay fresh for upto 2 days in a cool & dry environment, preferably in an air con room. DO NOT REFRIGERATE FONDANT COVERED CAKES

What is Gum Paste?
Gum paste is a pliable sugar dough made with icing sugar, meringue powder & shortening.

What is it used for?
Gum paste is primarily used in making edible flowers, 3D characters, bows, shoes, etc. It dries very hard & is almost tasteless. 
Difference between Fondant & Gum paste?
Fondant is a soft pliable dough used to cover cakes, cupcakes, cookies etc & remains soft even after drying. Gum paste is also a soft sugar dough that is used to make figurines etc, as it dries very hard.

What is the shelf life of gum paste flowers or figurines?
Gum paste flowers or figurines last forever & can be stored in a cool & dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate the figurines or gum paste flowers. Though over a period of time the colours might fade.
